Elected Officials

Eric has been proud to call Whitehall Borough home since the mid-1980s. After marrying Gretchen Hennel, a lifelong resident, he chose to build his family and future here. Together, they have raised two daughters who grew up deeply connected to the community.

Throughout his years in Whitehall, Eric has been an active volunteer and supporter of local youth programs. He served the Baldwin Whitehall Soccer Association as a board member, in-house coordinator, referee, and coach for his daughters’ teams. Additionally, he supported Baldwin High School extracurricular activities such as a marching band logistics team member and chaperone, as well as BHS musical staff – working with students on set carpentry and the technical run crew. His involvement reflects a long-standing belief in strengthening the experiences of people across the community.

Eric recently retired after a 44-year career in the IT industry, beginning at Carnegie Mellon University and culminating in 28 years with IBM. His work spanned operating system development, nuclear power, pharmaceuticals, and telecommunications, giving him a broad perspective on complex systems, innovation, and teamwork.

Eric looks forward to serving the community to uphold the excellence we have come to expect in Whitehall.

Christy Kuehn, PhD, is a member of Whitehall Borough Council and brings a strong background in education, nonprofit leadership, and community service to her role. She cares deeply about both the history and future of Whitehall and is committed to serving the borough with thoughtfulness, kindness, and integrity.

Professionally, Christy has worked in education—both K–12 and post-secondary—for more than 20 years. She currently works full-time for The Consortium for Public Education as Director of Professional and Student Learning and teaches part-time in the English Department at the University of Pittsburgh. Christy holds degrees in English Education (BA, Geneva College), Literature (MA, Arizona State University), and Instructional Management and Leadership (PhD, Robert Morris University). Her work focuses on future readiness for students, inclusive practices, and community-centered systems that support people of all ages.

As a Council Member, Christy is committed to considerate governance, fiscal responsibility, and maintaining strong borough services. She believes local government works best when it is transparent, collaborative, and rooted in listening to residents, and she looks forward to working with fellow council members and neighbors to continue strengthening Whitehall.

Beth Lynn Eicher grew up in Whitehall where she graduated from Baldwin High Class of 97 and University of Pittsburgh, Information Science in 2000. She has had a career in research computing and has worked for Carnegie Mellon University, Bettis Laboratory, University of Chicago, and Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center. In these world-class high tech environments, she learned government compliance and fiscal responsibility. She is involved in the Open Source community and believes in innovation through collaboration. By providing free streaming of council meetings, she demonstrates the impact of Open Government and community engagement.

Tristan Lucchetti is a newly elected councilman who has lived in Whitehall Borough since 2015, with his wife Teresa (registered nurse) and son, Rory.  Tristan is an Assistant Director at the health sciences library at the University of PIttsburgh where he has been employed for the past 18 years.  He is a graduate of Pitt where he received both his B.A. (2005) and M.B.A. (2009).  Tristan looks forward to meeting and working with the people of Whitehall Borough to understand and help with their concerns and to grow the Borough to meet challenges that are before it.

A resident of Whitehall since 2010, Lacey lives with her husband, Chris, and their 2 children. After a decade in advertising, she currently works as a Technical Trainer for an insurance company where she has been since 2013. She has a B.A. from Marietta College with a focus on graphic design, public relations and leadership.

Lacey looks forward to serving the community to continue the excellence that residents have come to expect from Whitehall.

Richard is a newly elected person to the council and a resident with his wife Cyndi of Whitehall for over 40 years. He was secretary for the Whitehall Borough Civil Service Commission for 6 years and in the past has served as President of the Baldwin-Whitehall Athletic Association and the Baldwin -Whitehall Music Patrons.  He is currently President of the Wallace Park Homeowners Association. He is a graduate of West Virginia University B.A. and Waynesburg University M.B.A. and retired from AT&T developing user applications, teaching and supporting Premier clients for internet and wireless communications worldwide. Richard is ready to listen to the Borough residents concerns and needs in order to continue having Whitehall a great place to live now and into the future.
